Physician Use of Internet Increases

Physicians use of the Internet for work related activities is increasing. A recent survey by Jupiter Research shows that eighty-nine percent of responding physicians responding research clinical information online at least monthly, compared with 75% in 2005. In 2007, 78% of survey respondents reported communicating with colleagues via e-mail, and 39% reported communicating with patients via e-mail, up from 2005, when 54% reported e-mailing colleagues and 20% used e-mail with patients.
